Former Republican Rep. Liz Cheney has endorsed Democratic Rep. Elissa Slotkin to represent Michigan in the U.S. Senate.

“The stakes of this election are unlike anything we have ever experienced before, but the future of our democracy is at stake, and this is not about political differences,” Cheney said.

“It’s about doing the right thing for our country. That's why I'm supporting Elissa Slotkin in her campaign for US Senate in Michigan. I know that she is focused on doing the right thing for the people she represents and that she will stand up for our country more than herself every time.”

After thanking Cheney, Slotkin said in a statement: “Liz and I certainly do not agree on all policy issues, but I am grateful for her responsible leadership and deep commitment to preserving our democracy above all else.”

“This campaign has always been driven by a coalition of Democrats, Republicans and Independents, and we will finish it the same way we began – united by the country and the democracy we love.

The Washington Post reports that Kamala Harris plans to make her closing argument in a speech on the National Mall on Tuesday, October 29th.

The paper cites people familiar with the planning and a permit application obtained by reporters post.

In her remarks today at the Naval Observatory, Kamala Harris responded to warnings from Donald Trump's former chief of staff John Kelly in an interview with The New York Times that he met the criteria of a fascist and invoked Hitler.

The vice president warned about the former president and Republican Party presidential candidate:

“It is deeply disturbing and incredibly dangerous that Donald Trump would invoke Adolf Hitler, the man responsible for the deaths of six million Jews and hundreds of thousands of Americans.”

“Anyone who refuses to bend a knee or dares to criticize him would be considered an enemy within in his eyes. Like judges, like journalists, like impartial election officials.”

“Donald Trump is increasingly unhinged and unstable. And in a second term, people like John Kelly would no longer be there to fend off his tendencies and actions.”

Vice President Kamala Harris added remarks to her schedule today at 1 p.m. at the Naval Observatory, her official residence in Washington, DC.

Neither the White House nor her campaign team have said what she plans to talk about, although the speech will likely focus on comments about Donald Trump from John Kelly, his senior chief of staff, who spoke with The New York Times.

Kelly told the newspaper in an interview that the former president repeatedly praised Hitler and warned that the Republican nominee met the definition of a fascist.

A MAGA youth pastor favored by evangelist Jerry Falwell Jr. has been accused of coercing minors into having sex with him and sending him pornographic images.

Zachary Radcliff, 29, of Saline, Michigan, is accused of a number of crimes related to sexually abusive activity dating back to 2011, according to state police.

The alleged victims were between 12 and 17 years old at the time, Michigan State Police said.
