Vice President Kamala Harris continued her Monday tour of Pennsylvania with a rally largely aimed at Puerto Rican voters in Allentown, a majority Latino city where Harris' campaign sees an opportunity to woo voters who have been offended by the racist joke that is Tony Hinchcliffe said former President Donald Trump's rally in New York last month was deterred.

When Mayor Matthew Tuerk mentioned Hinchcliffe's “trash” comment, the crowd in the Muhlenberg College gymnasium booed and at least two Puerto Rican flags were unfurled.

Rapper Fat Joe, who spoke shortly before Harris, urged Latino voters to be “proud” and reject Trump.

“They said they needed a Puerto Rican in Allentown, and it was a great honor to talk to my people,” he said.

In her own remarks, the vice president praised her “longstanding commitment to Puerto Rico and its people.”

She promised that she would be “a president for all Americans,” adding that her campaign had gained “momentum” in the final hours of the race.

“It is my promise to you: If you give me the chance to fight for you as president, there is nothing in the world that can stand in my way,” Harris said.
