The Golden State Warriors and Boston Celtics play a highly anticipated game on Wednesday night. This game is not only a rematch of the 2022 NBA Finals, but also a battle between two of the best teams in the NBA to start the season. Golden State came into this game 6-1 in its first seven games, while Boston came into the game 7-1 on the year.

Jaylen Brown was ruled out before this game began, but there was still plenty of star power on both sides between Steph Curry, Jayson Tatum and others. Curry returned from a three-game injury absence on Monday against the Washington Wizards. Curry injured his ankle last week against the LA Clippers and has since recovered from that injury and is playing at a high level.

Entering the fourth quarter against the Celtics, Curry had 17 points, seven assists and five rebounds. Curry finished the game with a strong fourth down, scoring 27 points, nine assists and seven rebounds.

Along with his season high in points, Curry made NBA history by moving into 30th place on the NBA's all-time scoring list.

Since he wore number 30 throughout his career, this was something of a symbolic milestone for the NBA's all-time leader in three-point shots made. With plenty of top-level basketball still ahead of him, Curry will only continue to climb the NBA's all-time scoring list.

Golden State entered the fourth quarter with a one-point lead and ultimately won 118-112. This game definitely lived up to the hype. The Celtics are the defending champions and many expected them to be one of the best teams in the NBA this season, but Golden State was a bit of a surprise.

Curry's performance against the Celtics in the 2022 Finals was historic as he took home his first Finals MVP award. The Warriors star always seems to play well in Boston.
