3 — Everyone celebrates

It is well documented that Buffalo's motto for offense is an “everyone eats” mentality where every player contributes his part to the game.

On Monday, the “everybody celebrates” spirit took it a step further. Five different players scored a touchdown and Allen connected with ten different receivers. It's the tenth time in Bills history that ten players have had a catch; Allen was the quarterback in five of those appearances.

“I think it's paying off what we've been working on all offseason and training camp, the 'everybody eats' mentality, and it could be your play again, you never know when it's going to happen and that's the beauty of it when the guys buy into it,” Allen said.

Coleman explained that knowing that every game is different and anyone can intervene at any time is a huge advantage for the offense.

“The motto is: We all eat. So everyone will eat, everyone will go and do what they have to do when they get the ball in their hands. We just want to show the versatility of our team and show that we have playmakers,” he said.

McDermott said the “everyone eats” motto worked because each player was so committed.

“I think everyone is really just focused on their job and trying to keep it as simple as possible. And the guys are doing a really good job of coming to work with a certain level of focus,” he said.

The Bills now have six different players who have caught a touchdown this season, the most in the NFL through the first three weeks of the season.
