Power outages in South Georgia

ALBANY, GA. (WALB) – When Hurricane Helene hit South Georgia, power outages were reported across the region.

Albany

Around 1,065 people are affected by an outage.

Atkinson County

Around 1,522 customers were affected by outages.

Berry County

Around 3,756 customers were affected by outages.

Brooks County

Outages were reported affecting approximately 858 customers.

Clay County

Due to outages, around 470 residents are without power.

Clinch County

Around 1,668 customers were affected by outages.

Coffee County

Around 1,655 customers are affected by outages.

Colquitt County

Of the reported outages, around 1,328 are now affected

Cook County

Around 1,635 customers were affected by outages.

Decatur County

Around 481 customers were affected by outages.

Echols County

Outages were reported affecting around 670 customers.

Irwin County

Around 933 customers are currently affected by outages.

Lanier County

Around 1,761 customers were affected by outages.

Lowndes County

Outages were reported affecting around 32,000 customers.

Thomas County

Outages were reported affecting approximately 1,607 customers.

Tift County

Outages have been reported affecting approximately 4,709 customers.

Georgia Electric Cooperative (EMC) Power

Some 124,541 people are without power in parts of southeast Georgia, including Lowndes County.
Around 13,123 people are without power in southwest Georgia.
