The Yankees host the Guardians for ALCS Game 1 on Monday. Here's what you need to know.

NEW YORK – The New York Yankees host Game 1 of the 2024 American League Championship Series on Monday.

The Yankees play the Cleveland Guardians, who won Game 5 of the AL Division Series against the Detroit Tigers on Saturday afternoon.

New York, that American League East Division championsthen moved up to the ALCS Victory over the Kansas City Royals in the ALDS.

The winner of the best-of-seven championship series plays either the New York Mets or the Los Angeles Dodgers in the World Series.

ALCS Games 1 and 2 will take place at Yankee Stadium, as will Games 6 and 7 if necessary.
