That's their lowest finish since they finished No. 10 in both major Top 25 polls last season after a loss in the Cotton Bowl.

The Buckeyes have been ranked either No. 2 or No. 3 through the first six weeks of this season, trailing only undefeated teams in the Southeastern Conference. After Vanderbilt upset Alabama last week, they had moved up to No. 2.

Texas remains at the top of both polls, followed by Oregon at No. 2 and Penn State at No. 3. All three are 6-0.

The Buckeyes then faced Georgia in the polls. They remain ahead of the Bulldogs in the AP poll but trail them in the coaches poll. Both are 5-1 overall.
