The problem reports submitted to Downdetector showed that the majority of Facebook users are unable to log in to accounts (63 percent), followed by website problems (27 percent) and then server connection problems (10 percent).

About 75 percent of Instagram outages were due to the app, followed by the website (14 percent) and account logins (10 percent).

And 78 percent of Messenger users couldn't log in, 17 percent couldn't send messages, and just under four percent didn't receive any messages.

Major cities such as Los Angeles, New York City, Dallas, Tampa and Boston have reported problems with all three social networks.

Users shared their frustrations on another social media platform, Elon Musk's X.

X user Bruce Wayne shared, “I love that the first thing you should do when Instagram isn't available is come here just to be sure.”

Another user reported that their Facebook was “weird all day” and “blocked” certain posts.
