Another incredibly warm Monday day before cooler air arrives

Temperatures will again be 20 to 30 degrees above normal Monday afternoon, with low 80s across southern Minnesota. A cool front will bring a slight chance of rain and cooler air midweek.

Unusual warmth will return Monday before a cool front arrives late Tuesday

After Sunday's near-record warmth, we'll be back near that area with high temperatures in the low 80s for southern Minnesota. Highs will be in the 70s to the north.

A cool front will move across the state late afternoon on Tuesday. There is a chance for a few isolated light showers, although most of the rain will fall in northern Minnesota through Tuesday night.

Highs will return to normal levels for a day on Wednesday, with highs mostly in the 50s and 40s. The normal mid- to late-week high ranges from 45 along the international border to 55 in southern Minnesota.

Towards the end of the week and into the weekend the temperatures will be slightly warmer. Unfortunately, there is still no significant precipitation in sight.
