Browns make drastic changes on offense while losing five games

This is a critical week for the Cleveland Browns, whose season is quickly coming to an end. They face the prospect of replacing quarterback Deshaun Watson with backup Jameis Winston after he tore his Achilles tendon in the Browns' 21-14 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals last Sunday.

However, it looks like more offensive changes are coming for Cleveland.

Browns offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey will call the plays going forward, coach Kevin Stefanski announced Wednesday. Stefanski had previously looked after this area himself.

“I have a lot of confidence in Ken and I have a lot of confidence in our offensive staff,” Stefanski said. “I think when it comes to playing good football and coming up with game plans, it's never one person's job. It's truly a community effort. I have great confidence in all of our coaches. And Ken’s call to the pieces doesn’t change that collaborative approach.”

This is the first time Stefanski has relinquished his playing duties since Cleveland hired him in 2020. Dorsey, 43, served as the Buffalo Bills' offensive coordinator from 2022 to 2023; He briefly served as quarterback for the Browns in 2006 and 2008, throwing no touchdowns and seven interceptions in five games.

Cleveland is scheduled to play the 5-2 Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.
