Kate Beckinsale's new spy thriller Canary Black has arrived on Prime Video.

The Amazon original follows Beckinsale as Avery Graves, a high-ranking CIA agent who is blackmailed by terrorists into betraying her country to save her kidnapped husband.

“Cut off from her team, she turns to her underworld contacts to help find the coveted information the kidnappers are looking for,” the synopsis continues.

“Betrayed at every turn, Avery finds herself in a deadly race to pay a ransom that could trigger a global crisis.”

The cast also includes Anatomy of a Scandal's Rupert Friend, Deep Blue Sea star Saffron Burrows, Orion's Goran Kostic and Douglas Is Canceled actor Ben Miles.

The film is directed by Pierre Morel, best known for the revenge thriller “Taken” starring Liam Neeson.

Canary Black follows the Underworld star's 2023 film Fool's Paradise, in which she appeared alongside It's Always Sunny in Charlie Day in Philadelphia.

The film tells the story of Latte Pronto (Day), who is discovered by a publicist (Ken Jeong) after being released from a psychiatric facility.

The publicist is looking for a replacement for an uncooperative actor who is also Latte's exact doppelganger (also played by Day).

In addition to Day and Beckinsale, Fool's Paradise also stars the late Ray Liotta, Succession's Adrien Brody, Ted Lasso's Jason Sudeikis, The Sopranos' Edie Falco, Ozark's Jason Bateman, Westworld's Jimmi Simpson and John Wick's Common.

The film marks Day's directorial debut, in which he speaks to The Independent about the process of creating the project: “I didn't want to make a film about how a funny guy like Mr. Bean or Charlie Chaplin becomes a movie star.”

“With them, you understand – they have so much charisma in every gesture they make. I wanted to make a film where a man who really has nothing to offer becomes a movie star simply because of the time and place and the way he looks.”

Canary Black is now available to stream on Prime Video.
