Week 9 of the 2024 SEC football season is now officially over, meaning only one team in the conference remains undefeated in SEC play.

With the top two teams in conference play playing each other this past Saturday, let's take a look at who is now at the top of the SEC standings as we look ahead to Week 10:

Updated SEC football rankings after Week 9

1. Texas A&M (5-0)

2. Georgia (4-1)

T-3. Texas, Tennessee, LSU (3-1)

T-6. Alabama, Arkansas (3-2)

T-8. Missouri, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, Florida (2-2)

12. South Carolina (2-3)

T-13. Oklahoma, Auburn (1-4)

15. Kentucky (1-5)

16. Mississippi State (0-5)

After Week 9, Texas A&M is the only team undefeated in conference play, as the Aggies also defeated previously undefeated LSU 38-23 on Saturday night.

Even when it comes to a possible appearance in the SEC Championship Game, Alabama remains largely out of the picture as the Crimson Tide still need to win and also get help from others. However, a win over LSU in the next contest, one of the teams ahead of them in the standings, would certainly improve those chances.
