Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry will undergo an MRI after suffering a sprained left ankle in Sunday's 112-104 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr told reporters after the game that Curry had a “mild or moderate” injury:

He was later excluded. In the 27 minutes before his exit, he had 18 points, six assists, four rebounds and two steals.

Curry is coming off another solid season, averaging 26.4 points, 5.1 assists and 4.5 rebounds in the 2023-24 season. His career accolades include four NBA championships, two NBA MVP awards and ten All-Star Game appearances.

The 36-year-old also added a gold medal after helping lead Team USA to a perfect 6-0 record at the Summer Olympics in Paris.

Obviously, the Warriors need a healthy Curry back to have any chance of making the playoffs.

If Curry has to miss time, guards Brandin Podziemski and backup De'Anthony Melton would likely get increased roles. Other roles include Draymond Green, Jonathan Kuminga and Andrew Wiggins.
