Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei opened a Hebrew X/Twitter on Saturday evening.

The only post so far from the Hebrew account of Khameini.ir reads: “In the name of Allah, the Merciful.”

Khamenei republished the Hebrew post on his official English account Khamenei.ir, which is verified and has over a million followers.

ZAKA's official report responded to the post with a line from the Jewish Kaddish prayer for the dead, which can be interpreted as a subtle hint that Khamenei's end may be near.

Israel attacks Iran

This came after Israel carried out targeted attacks numerous Iranians military sites in an operation later called “Days of Atonement” on Saturday morning.

According to US and Israeli officials, the attack came in three large waves and severely damaged Iranian drone and missile production facilities, hitting over 20 targets, according to Axios and the New York Times.

The attacks were partly a response to Iran's attack on Israel on October 1, in which Tehran fired 180 ballistic missiles, resulting in 1,800 missile sirens across the country.

Furthermore, the New York Times reported on Saturday that a fight had begun to find a successor to Ayatollah Khamenei (85), who is believed to be seriously ill.
