Witnesses told Columbus police that an argument led to the fatal shooting of an unarmed teenager early Wednesday in North Linden.

Officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of East Weber Road around 12:03 a.m. after a 911 caller told police that someone had been shot, said Columbus police Sgt. Joe Albert said in a statement. When they arrived, they found a man in his mid to late teens lying on the sidewalk with at least one gunshot wound.

Paramedics took the teen to Riverside Hospital in critical condition, where he was pronounced dead at 12:35 a.m

Several witnesses were at the scene and told investigators that the teen was involved in an altercation with three other men when he was shot, Albert said.
