Arnold Schwarzenegger is supporting Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in next week's presidential election.

The famous Republican former governor of California took to X on Wednesday morning to share a lengthy post about who he's supporting in the crucial election.

Schwarzenegger began by explaining that he “hates” politics and doesn't usually make the decision to support someone in elections. He noted that he doesn't really like either party at the moment and that while he would like to switch off, he can't at the moment.

“Because rejecting the results of an election is as un-American as it gets,” he said of Donald Trump’s refusal to admit he lost the 2020 election. “For someone like me, who talks to people all over the world and still knows that America is the shining city on a hill, calling America the trash can of the world is so unpatriotic that it makes me angry.”

He continued: “I will always be an American before I become a Republican. That's why I'm voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz this week. I'm sharing this with all of you because I think many of you feel the same way as me. They don't recognize our country. And you’re right to be angry.”

The actor went on to write that there have been conversations about the national debt, immigration reform to secure the border while fixing “our broken immigration system,” and more for decades, while those in power do nothing about it. The problems persist, he said, and people are only getting angrier because the only people who benefit from them are politicians who would rather have “talking points” for elections than “deliver the public service that improves the lives of Americans.” becomes”.

“It’s a fair game for them. But it is the life of my fellow Americans. We should be angry,” Schwarzenegger wrote. “But a candidate who doesn't respect your vote unless it's for him, a candidate who sends his supporters to storm the Capitol while he watches with a Diet Coke, a candidate who has shown no ability “To work on passing anything else.” A tax cut that helped his donors and other rich people like me but no one else, a candidate who believes Americans who disagree with him are bigger enemies than China , Russia or North Korea – these will not solve our problems. ”

He continued, criticizing Trump and noting that if he were re-elected, “it would just be four more years of bullshit with no results, making us increasingly angry, more divided and more hateful.” We must open the door to this chapter of American history close, and I know former President Trump won’t.”

The Terminator Star emphasized that in another Trump presidency, the convicted felon would find new ways to be even more “un-American” than he already was, which is why he decided to share his voice publicly.

“I want to move forward as a country,” he said, “and while I have many disagreements with their platform, I think that is only possible with Harris and Walz.”
