The Philadelphia Flyers secured a big 2-0 win over the Boston Bruins on Tuesday night (October 29). Goaltender Samuel Ersson played a key role in the win, stopping all 25 of the Bruins' shots in his first shutout of the season.

Even though Ersson was the Flyers' top star in the game, he made sure to give his Flyers teammates praise after the contest. In doing so, he sent a strong message to the club.

Here’s what Ersson said to his teammates: “We played so well. In the third period we completely eliminated them. When we play like that, we are a very good team. So let’s build on that.”

It's hard to disagree with Ersson's statement about the Flyers' play. Because of their excellent defensive play in front of Ersson, they limited the Bruins to just three shots in the third period.

It will now be fascinating to see how the Flyers build on this impressive win over the Bruins. This competition should be a real confidence booster for Ersson and the rest of the club.
