The Spanish government has declared three days of mourning after flash floods in the east of the country killed at least 70 people.

Officials say torrential rains that began Tuesday and continued overnight have flooded villages, cut off roads and caused problems with telecommunications. There are reports of flooding in the south and east of Spain.
