Every Yankee quickly disappeared into the depths of the stadium after suffering a 7-6 loss in Game 5, losing the World Series to the Dodgers and extending their losing streak to 15 seasons.

Everyone except Juan Soto.

The star right fielder took his time in the dugout, watching the Dodgers celebrate their first championship since 2020 on the diamond at Yankee Stadium.

Before he left, he pointed to the sky in a moment that may have been his last in pinstripes.

Soto, who went 1-2 with three walks on Wednesday night and posted a 1.079 OPS throughout the postseason, is heading into the offseason as a free agent.

He can expect a fierce bidding war for his talents from the Yankees, cross-town rival Mets and even the Dodgers, who just ended their chance at a second championship.

Soto had a one-year, $31 million contract through the 2024 season – his first with the Yankees – and now the biggest question for many is whether he will stay to try to take back the game or leave, to take advantage of an opportunity elsewhere.

He claimed that he enjoyed the experience in the Bronx, but made no significant hints about his future.

That may not last much longer as the offseason is just around the corner.
