It's Halloween again and two things are inevitable: you'll run out of candy before young trick-or-treaters have knocked on your door, and social media feeds will be flooded with costumed celebrities.

To save you from aimless scrolling, here are some of the best celebrity Halloween costumes we've seen this year.

Heidi Klum is famous for both her annual Halloween party and the incredible costumes she wears to it.

This year, Klum and her husband, German guitarist Tom Kaulitz, dressed up as ET, the alien from Steven Spielberg's classic 1982 film, for the 23rd time.

Klum's outfit was completed with a glowing index finger on her left hand, just like the original character, and a wig with blonde hair that matched her own.

But Klum wasn't the only celebrity to dress up as ET

Janelle Monae appeared as a loveable alien for a Halloween special of the Jennifer Hudson show.

Monae is also known for going the extra mile with her costumes said Hollywood Reporter: “Halloween is such a happy place for me, and has been since I was a child.

“It opens up a larger discussion about how do we become agents of joy? How do we become agents of happiness?”

“Bringing Halloween experiences and creative experiences is a labor of love, not hard work. I do this because my heart needs it.”

On Thursday, Lupita Nyong'o went trick-or-treating for the opening night of a Broadway musical in New York City.

But she still made sure to get in the mood – by donning a ghostly white wig and contact lenses.

It's not often you get thirsty at the sight of Halloween costumes, but Pixie Lott mastered her look this year by dressing up as a fashionable Aperol spritz cocktail.

The 33-year-old also completed her look with an orange slice as a hat.

Meanwhile, Maya Jama attended her own Halloween party in a Beetlejuice-inspired costume.

Fans may recognize her bright green hair and monochromatic suit from the 1988 film or the sequel, which hit theaters earlier this year.

Instead of mimicking the man himself, she described her costume as “Beetlejuice's wayward niece.”

Amelia Dimoldenberg really dug into the Disney/Pixar archives for this look, as she starred as the character Roz from the 2001 film Monsters Inc.

You'd be forgiven if you didn't remember this snail-like monster, which had a small role in the animated film as an extremely grumpy office worker.

Lizzo definitely wins the award for most current Halloween costume.

She disguised herself as a fake weight loss drug, which was made up in a recent South Park episode that joked about her body positivity message.

The costume was also used in response to online speculation that her recent weight loss was fueled by the drug Ozempic.

The singer posted on Instagram in September: “When you finally get Ozempic accusations after five months of strength training and a calorie deficit…”

Ed Sheeran's costume reflected an AI-generated image of him in a monkey costume that has become a popular internet meme.

The singer posted a photo of himself posing in a replica outfit and holding a phone displaying the image.

“Haters will say its AI,” read the caption with the hashtag: “#FeltCuteMightDeleteLater.”

Nostalgia always plays a big role during Halloween and Paris Hilton joined the trend with her 2024 look.

Looking back 30 years, she dressed up as Uma Thurman's character Mia Wallace from the 1994 Quentin Tarantino film Pulp Fiction.

Selena Gomez and her boyfriend Benny Blanco fell down the rabbit hole over their costumes this year.

The actress dressed up as Alice in Wonderland while her musician partner paid homage to the Mad Hatter.
