SOUTHERN COLORADO – Every week, News5 tries to put together a list of fun things happening across Colorado. From Dia de los Muertos celebrations to a Switchbacks FC playoff game, there's a lot to enjoy this Halloweekend.

Dia de los Muertos Colorado Springs

A Dia de los Muertos celebration will be held in Colorado Springs on Friday and Saturday at the Colorado College Fine Arts Center. The celebrations begin at 4:30 p.m. every day. Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a Latin American celebration dedicated to remembering loved ones who have been lost and honoring their impact on their community. More information here.

Dia de los Muertos Pueblo

The El Pueblo History Museum installed a Day of the Dead altar at its downtown Pueblo location earlier this month. They will hold a ceremony at the museum on November 2nd at 1 p.m. The community is invited to place pictures of their loved ones on the altar to publicly honor them. More information here.

Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC playoff game

The Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC have made it to the USL playoffs! They will host Oakland Roots SC at Weidner Field for a first-round game on Saturday at 6 p.m. Tickets for the game start at $35. Arkansas Valley Balloon Festival

The 35th Arkansas Valley Balloon Festival begins Friday with a balloon launch at 9 a.m. from Rocky Ford. The hot air balloon launch continues Saturday and Sunday at 7:30 a.m. Events are planned around Rocky Ford City Hall on Main Street and nearby Railroad Park. More information here.
