Another year, another chapter – and it's just about time to say goodbye to Chapter 5 Island as we head into the Fortnite remix season. Similar to last year's OG season, Remix will take us back to an old version of the battle royale island for a month before Chapter 6 begins in December. And the remix party begins on Friday, November 1st at 6:30 p.m. ET/3:30 p.m. PT, when a new live event kicks off everything this new season has to offer.

The event, called “Remix Prelude,” will take place during battle royale and zero-build matches at Restored Reels, the ancient Greek cinema in the center of the island. What exactly will this event entail? We really don't know, but Epic Really wants you to be able to see everything without being bothered by random other players – it makes Restored Reels a “protected area” where you cannot kill other players during the event and there is no damage from it The storm should overtake you before the end of the event.

While we don't know exactly what to expect from the event itself, enough information about the new season has already leaked that we can make some guesses. For example, we've known for months that Snoop Dogg will be the new Fortnite Festival headliner, so it's a safe bet that he'll stop by last year's Chapter 5 event for a song or two a la Eminem.

Aside from Snoop, it's hard to guess what else the event will entail, but it's sure to give us the most anticipation for remix season yet – perhaps we'll get our first look at the Low's long-rumored mechanics -Rider vehicles with a proper introduction to the new Remix Battle Pass skins and especially a look at what's next for the festival.

Epic is calling this event the first of a three-part sequence – the remix season itself is the second part and another finale event on November 30th is the final piece.

The Remix Season, for those unaware of the leaks, takes us back to the early parts of Chapter 2 – specifically the first three seasons, where a number of fan-favorite characters such as Midas, Meowscles and Skye – were first introduced presented.
