According to Fightful Select, WWE has released superstars Indi Hartwell and Tegan Nox from the company. They go with former Money in the Bank winner Baron Corbin.

“The contention within WWE is that the three departures – Indi Hartwell, Tegan Nox and Baron Corbin – are the only ones leaving in this round,” Sean Ross Sapp said on X.

Sapp later confirmed that these were WWE releases and that both Hartwell and Nox would become free agents in 90 days.

Hartwell, whose real name is Samantha De Martin, began her professional wrestling career in 2016 with promotions such as Shimmer, Riot City Wrestling and World Series Wrestling. She joined WWE in 2019 when her ring name was changed to Indi Hartwell.

Hartwell made her television debut on January 15, 2020 on NXT in a Number One Contender Battle Royal for the NXT Women's Championship. Six months later, she would win her first televised game.

Hartwell soon joined forces with Johnny Gargano, Candice LeRae and Austin Theory and formed a stable called The Way. Alongside LeRae, Hartwell would eventually win the NXT Women's Tag Team Championship.

One of Hartwell's most memorable storylines saw her having a relationship with fellow superstar Dexter Lumis, a couple nicknamed InDex by fans, which eventually led to a wedding between the characters.

Hartwell also won the NXT Women's Championship at Stand & Deliver on April 1, 2023. She vacated the title when she was drafted to Raw.

Tegan Nox, born Steffanie Newell, began wrestling professionally in 2013 with a one-off appearance on Total Nonstop Action Wrestling. She spent the next four years with promotions such as Shimmer Women Athletes, What Culture Pro Wrestling and World Wonder Ring Stardom.

In 2017, Nox signed with WWE, but was unable to compete in the 2017 Mae Young Classic due to a torn ACL. Unfortunately, this became an issue during her time in WWE.

Nox competed in the 2018 Mae Young Classic, but was injured in the quarterfinals in a match against Rhea Ripley. In 2019 she returned to television and had a prominent appearance, which was interrupted by another cruciate ligament tear.

Nox returned to NXT in July 2021 and soon moved up to the main roster, but was released in November. She was brought back to WWE in 2022 and joined Raw in 2023, where she worked in a tag team with Natalya.
