Aaron Rodgers discussed the prioritization of aid to other countries by national politicians and organizations, particularly with Ukraine

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers seemed to eclipse LeBron James on The Pat McAfee Show over at ESPN. The conversation turned to the election and politics as a whole, using terminology associated with the “trade deadline.” Rodgers talked about the foreign aid money UkraineHow FEMA has mismanaged the recent storms that have hit his state and talked about celebrity endorsements for the major sports brands. He doesn't say who he means; because James is known for handling his business affairs and saying nothing about human problems in China.

Aaron Rodgers spoke about foreign aid to Ukraine

Aaron Rodgers' interview on The Pat McAfee Show before Election Day focused on the New York Jets' comeback win. Despite his efforts to stay focused, Rodgers was interrupted twice by military aircraft conducting practice flights before the Penn State vs. Ohio State game. The interview was broadcast from Beaver Stadium in Pennsylvania. Rodgers noted that the overflight cost another $2 million, before adding, “It's $2 million that we're not sending to Ukraine, so that's OK.”

McAfee's two-hour ESPN slot ended, but Rodgers returned to YouTube later in the show. “I just want to clarify a comment I made because there is a big Ukrainian flag flying at 1 Jets Drive,” he said. “I have no problem with Ukraine at all. I just think there are a lot of problems in the United States that maybe $180 billion could help instead of fighting a proxy war. Just to sum it up.”
He continued: “You know, during natural disasters, FEMA confiscates water bottles and food supplies from people who want to help. Maybe we can help these people. Obviously, FEMA doesn't have the best record when you look back to 2005 and Katrina. But I think there's a lot of problems in the States and people are feeling sorry for themselves who could use more than, I don't know, what they just put out? $600, $700? Light up.”
“$750, $750, $750,” McAfee interjected. “And you also go back to Hawaii and what happened there with the fires. We all agree. I think anyone in their right mind would agree with this. Understand that the United States of America has to take care of people and things like that, but we also have to take care of our people whenever something happens.”
Rodgers ended his appearance criticizing swing voters for being influenced by celebrities after discussing Ukraine aid versus disaster relief. “If you don’t know what to do at the trade deadline, you should just ask your favorite star,” Rodgers said.
