West Virginia Baseball announces 2025 schedule

West Virginia Baseball announced its 2025 schedule on Thursday, which calls for a total of 56 games, including 25 home games.

The Mountaineers are expected to be under the leadership of Steve Sabins in his first season as head coach. As a program, they made their first Super Regional appearance in the NCAA Tournament last season.

West Virginia begins a four-game series on the road against Jacksonville Feb. 14-16 and plays a doubleheader this Saturday. They then face Lipscomb away from home on February 21-23.

West Virginia will play its home opener at Wagener Field at Kendrick Family Ballpark when it takes on Ohio on Feb. 25. This is the second straight season the Mountaineers have had a home game in February.

The Mountaineers will then face Queens (NC) in Charlotte for a four-game series from February 28th to March 3rd.

West Virginia will host its first home series of the season March 7-9 when it takes on Kennesaw State before hosting Towson on March 11.

The Mountaineers' conference play begins March 14-16 at Oklahoma State for West Virginia, then travels back to Morgantown for a six-game home opener.

They host James Madison March 18-19 and then host Big 12 opponent Arizona March 21-23 during their first-ever trip to Morgantown after WVU traveled there during its NCAA Tournament Regional appearance last season. The homestand ends March 25 against Marshall.

The Mountaineers then head west to face BYU March 27-29 and on the road against Ohio State on April 1. West Virginia then hosts Pitt in the Backyard Brawl on April 2 for the first of two games against the Panthers.

Utah will travel to Morgantown April 4-6, then host Penn State on April 8.

West Virginia hits the road again to face Houston April 11-13, then stays on the road to face Marshall on the road on April 15.

West Virginia plays Cincinnati at home April 17-19 and then travels back to Penn State on April 22. West Virginia then heads to Florida to face UCF April 25-27.

WVU plays Marshall at a neutral site in Charleston on April 30 and then hosts Texas Tech May 2-4.

WVU faces Pitt on the road in Pittsburgh on May 6th and then faces Kansas State on May 10th and 12th.

WVU concludes the regular season at home against Kansas May 15-17.

The Big 12 Tournament then takes place in Arlington, Texas, with the top twelve teams in the conference advancing to the conference tournament. The top four finishers will receive a first-round bye in a single-elimination style tournament May 21-24.

WVU's schedule for next season features 14 teams that made it to the NCAA Tournament as it looks to build on its first-ever Super Regional appearance and a fourth-place finish in the Big 12.
