Substitute Harry Wilson stunned Brentford with two injury-time goals as Fulham came from behind to claim the points at Craven Cottage.

Brentford's Vitaly Janelt had previously scored an excellent first-half opener with his powerful strike from 25 meters that would be worthy of winning any game.

But with eight minutes left, Wilson came on as a substitute and acrobatically smashed the ball over goalkeeper Mark Flekken to score his first goal, before heading home the surprise winner in the 97th minute.

Fulham deserved something for their performance and started strongly to keep the Bees at bay, who are known for getting out of the starting blocks quickly this season.

Cottagers winger Reiss Nelson, called into the starting line-up for the first time in the Premier League, saved two shots from Flekken in quick succession before Emile Smith Rowe also tested the goalkeeper.

Brentford battled for possession before Christian Norgaard rolled the ball to Janelt outside the penalty area and the midfielder smashed the ball deep into the corner to give the away side the lead with their first shot.

The game followed the same pattern in the second half as Fulham pushed Brentford back before late drama ensued.

Alex Iwobi, Kenny Tete and Andreas Pereira all had shots on target but the hosts were unable to find a breakthrough before Wilson flicked the ball over Flekken with the outside of his boot from Adama Traore's cross.

With time running out, Antonee Robinson parried a cross and Wilson stooped and headed the ball high into the net, causing wild scenes in the stadium.

Coming into this game, Brentford had dropped more points from winning positions than any other team in the league, and that trend was repeated in brutal fashion as they left Craven Cottage empty-handed.
