ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – In Georgia, polls are typically open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day – but there are some exceptions this year.

Here is a list of metro Atlanta polling places that will remain open after 7 p.m., by county:

Cobb County

  • Mount Paran Church of God: 1700 Allgood Road NE, Marietta, GA 30062
  • Kell High School: 4770 Lee Waters Road, Marietta, GA 30066

According to Cobb County officials, equipment problems caused those two polling locations to open late. They stay open until 7:20 p.m

Fulton County

  • Etris Darnell Community Center – Open until 7:45 p.m
  • CH Gullatt Elementary School – Open until 7:15 p.m
  • Southwest Arts Center – Open until 7:43 p.m
  • Northwood Elementary School – Open until 7:45 p.m
  • Lake Forest Elementary School – Open until 7:10 p.m

Election officials said the Fulton County Superior Court issued a ruling this afternoon allowing voting hours to be extended at five polling locations due to threats made today that required a brief evacuation of five different polling locations.

Gwinnett County

  • Mountain Park Aquatic Center & Activity Building: 1063 Rockbridge Rd SW, Stone Mountain, GA 30087

According to police, this polling station was also the target of a bomb threat. Officers evacuated the building and conducted a security check but found nothing. The county will request a one-hour extension, meaning the site will close at 8 p.m
