2024 general election results: AP calls Wyoming for Trump; Live election coverage

Update, 10:10 p.m – The Associated Press has called the presidential elections in New Mexico and Virginia, both of which went to Democratic Party candidate Kamala Harris.

Harris is now at 210 secured voters, just behind Trump's 230.

Candidates must reach 270 voters to secure the White House.


Update, 9:22 p.m – With about 27% of ballots counted in Wyoming, Trump has a comfortable lead over Harris in the state, as expected.

According to the Associated Press, Trump secured 66,656 to Harris' 23,249. Trump has received about 73% of the votes counted so far.

In the meantime, other states have been called by the AP. North Carolina and Iowa were both recently declared victories for Trump, becoming the first two of the hotly contested battleground states to be officially named.

Harris, meanwhile, secured Democratic strongholds in California, Washington and Oregon.

Trump currently has 230 voters, Harris has 192. The magic number to secure the presidency is 270.


Update, 8:10 p.m – At the time of the update, several states had already been called by the Associated Press.

Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, South Carolina, Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee, West Virginia, Ohio, Indiana, Utah, Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota and Montana were all called for Trump.

New York, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Illinois and Colorado all voted for Harris.

Currently, Trump has 198 voters while Harris is estimated to have 109. The magic number to secure the presidency is 270.


CASPER, Wyo. (AP) — The Associated Press has called Wyoming's presidential election for former President Donald Trump, with no votes reported in Wyoming yet. If the results are as expected, Trump would receive the Cowboy State's three electoral votes.

Other states called include Florida and Texas, both of which also went to Trump.

This is a developing story and will be updated live with Wyoming's voting totals and other states' results as they are announced.
