SARATOGA SPRINGS –

Incumbent Republican Sen. Jim Tedisco will retain his seat in the 44th Senate District for another term after defeating Democratic challenger Minita Sanghvi by about 25,000 votes, according to unofficial election results.

Tedisco had no comment as he walked home from the GOP watch party at the Adelphi Hotel on Tuesday night, after a panic over voting machine SD cards in Saratoga County led to the county, which makes up most of the Senate district, having to turn over had to report that no district had reported any results.

Republican Election Commissioner Joe Suhrada said the county will continue to address the issue, but the results are in and he doesn't expect anything to change.

With only 23 of 108 precincts counted, incumbent Republican state Assemblywoman Mary Beth Walsh currently has a 56.60% to 39.06% lead over her Democratic challenger Joe Seeman, according to incomplete and unofficial results.

According to the State Board of Elections website, both parts of Schenectady and Fulton counties that make up the district have reported their results. No precincts were reported for Saratoga County as of midnight Wednesday. In Saratoga County, Walsh, R-Ballston, received 20,439 votes on the Republican line and another 2,733 on the conservative line, according to the county Board of Elections website. Seeman received 15,553 votes for the Democratic line and another 1,189 for the Working Families Party line.

113TH ASSEMBLY DISTRICT

With only 23 of 117 precincts counted, Democratic incumbent Rep. Carrie Woerner currently holds a 52.76% to 43.64% lead over her Republican challenger Jeremy Messina, according to incomplete and unofficial results.


Santabarbara declares victory in the 111th Assembly District

According to the State Board of Election website, all precincts in Warren and Washington counties were closed Tuesday evening. As of midnight, no precincts were reported for Saratoga County. With available vote totals in Saratoga County, Woerner, D-Round Lake, received 26,107 on the Democratic line. According to the County Board of Elections website, Messina received 19,739 votes on the Republican line and another 2,614 on the Conservative line.

Saratoga County Treasurer

No precincts were reported in the race for Saratoga County Treasurer between Republican incumbent JoAnn Kupferman and Democratic challenger Saratoga County Supervisor Michele Madigan. Available county voting results show Kupferman had 54,363 votes on the Republican line and another 1,581 votes on the commonsense line, according to the county elections board. Madigan received 42,537 votes on the Democratic line in the available voting period.
