The ESPN FPI rankings have been updated following an interesting Week 9 slate of games. There were plenty of exciting results in the SEC, including Texas A&M's narrow victory over LSU.

But this game apparently didn't play a big role in the FPI rankings. Texas A&M is No. 12 in the latest ESPN Football Power Index, with LSU right behind it at No. 14. The Aggies moved up just two spots while the Tigers fell just two spots.

However, at the top of the rankings, Texas overtook Ohio State and reclaimed the top spot. The full top 25 rankings can be found below:

  1. Texas
  2. Ohio State
  3. Alabama
  4. Georgia
  5. Notre Dame
  6. Tennessee
  7. Ole Miss
  8. Oregon

That's an impressive 11 SEC teams in the top 25 of this week's FPI rankings. The only five SEC teams that didn't make the cut were Oklahoma (No. 29), Auburn (No. 30), Vanderbilt (No. 37), Kentucky (No. 50) and Mississippi State (No. 72).

Oregon, the current No. 1 team in the AP Poll, is just No. 8 in the Football Power Index, just behind a multi-loss Ole Miss team.

How will the FPI rankings change in week 10? Check back here next Sunday to find out!
