Anthony Davis of the LA Lakers on the injury report against the Detroit Pistons

After a big road win against the Brooklyn Nets, the Detroit Pistons are back on their home court on Monday night to host the Los Angeles Lakers.

Will Anthony Davis be part of the action? The prolific superstar is currently on the team's injury report for the match.

According to the Lakers, Davis is dealing with hip pain. Luckily for them, he has a good chance of playing as he is considered likely.

Through the first six games of the season in LA, Davis was one of the best players in the NBA. With an average playing time of 35 minutes, Davis leads the league with nearly 32 points per game. He achieved this average with a shooting rate of 57 percent from the field.

Davis got to the free throw line on 11.7 attempts per game. He hits his free throws at a rate of 79 percent.

To date, the Lakers have been one of six teams in the Western Conference with a winning record. A lot of this has to do with Davis' early winning streak. Although the Lakers typically rely heavily on LeBron James to be successful, Davis has been an X-factor since his arrival years ago. Health has simply been a problem over time.

The Pistons expect Davis on Monday night. In his last five games against the Pistons, Davis averaged nearly 30 points and 14 rebounds.

A win over Davis and the Lakers would be the Pistons' first winning streak of the season. Although they were competitive in most of their games, they often struggled to finish games. As a result, they only managed two wins in seven games.
