2 minutes, 22 seconds Read

The Chicago Bears were stunned when Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels threw an incredible last-second Hail Mary pass to win their game on Sunday.

Even wilder was what Bears cornerback Tyrique Stevenson did seconds before the game began. In a video on social media, Stevenson was seen taunting Commanders fans in the final moments of the game.

Daniels threw the ball across the field to a group of people and the Bears defenders failed to cover the back end. Noah Brown was left alone in the end zone and when the ball was tipped, he ran it for an 18-15 victory.

“To Chicago and his teammates, I apologize for the lack of attention and concentration… The game is not over until there are zeros on the clock. I can’t take anything for granted,” Stevenson wrote on X afterward. “Notes taken, improvement will occur.”

Bears head coach Matt Eberflaus commented on the final play in the postgame press conference.

“It comes down to the last play, and we've practiced this play a hundred times since we've been here,” he said, via ESPN. “I have to look at the execution, but we have a body against a body and box the guys like basketball at the end.”

“We have a man on the sidelines who throws the ball to the ground. We have a tip man who goes behind the stack. I need to look at it and detail it and make sure we’re better next time.”

The Bears' offense sputtered for much of the game.

Caleb Williams was 10 of 24 with 131 passing yards and a QB rating of 59.5.

D'Andre Swift kept the team in the game with a 56-yard touchdown run in the third quarter. Then Roschon Johnson gave the team the lead with a 1-yard run with 25 seconds left. The Bears executed a 2-point conversion to go up by three.
