Chappell Roan seems to have introduced some new music Saturday Night Live.

The rising pop star surprised the audience when she began singing an unknown country song in her second performance after making her musical guest debut with her hit “Pink Pony Club.”

“If you need to do the work, call me, baby,” she sang against a farm-like backdrop. “Because you don’t have to tell me. It's just in my nature. Take it like a taker, 'cause baby I'm a giver.”

As of now, the song is not available online, but the title is called “The Giver.”

SNLA GIF of the singer twirling and lassoing in a two-piece gingham outfit was posted on his page with the title of the song. The The Rise and Fall of a Midwestern Princess The singer-songwriter recently teased that a new album is in the works to follow her successful September 2023 debut.

“All the country boys say you know how to treat a woman right / Well only a woman knows how to treat a woman right,” Roan said during the song’s bridge.

Roan appeared SNL Season 50 during the NBC sketch comedy's final episode before Election Day on November 5, with six-time host and comedian John Mulaney. The star-studded episode featured a last-minute guest appearance from Vice President candidate Kamala Harris, as well as Hilary Clinton's former running mate Tim Kaine and SNL alum Pete Davidson. As she celebrated the accomplishment of her first performance earlier this week, the VMA winner posted a throwback to how she once wrote on Facebook in 2011, “I'm committed to being on SNL.”
