October 1st is the annual National Night Out 2024

HOUSTON – Several law enforcement agencies such as the Houston Police Department, Harris County Sheriff's Office and others are preparing to celebrate Houston's National Night Out 2024.

This is the 41st year that agencies throughout Southeast Texas have participated.

WHAT IS NATIONAL NIGHT OUT?

National Night Out is a nationwide campaign focused on building relationships between neighborhoods and law enforcement to make communities safer. Events like block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts, and other family-friendly events take place across the country every year.

Conroe

  • Free food, music and family-friendly activities

  • WHEN: 5 p.m. – 8 p.m

  • WHERE: Parking at Kroger, 341 S Loop 336 W, Conroe

Galveston Island

  • There are several block parties taking place

  • WHERE: Island district

Harris County MUD 110

  • Games, kid-friendly activities, potluck and Woodall's BBQ

  • WHEN: 6 – 8:30 p.m

  • WHERE: Forest Oaks Park Main Pavilion, 627 Cypress Oaks Dr, Spring

Modest ISD

  • Face paint, touring trucks, gun lock giveaway
