Christian Pulisic is in a period of glory not seen in USMNT circles since a certain Clint Dempsey troubled the defense about 15 years ago.

And honestly, that could soon be over for him.

Pulisic scored a magnificent solo goal for AC Milan in the 10th minute of their derby against Inter Milan at the San Siro on Sunday and then celebrated the goal exuberantly with his teammates (seriously, look how quickly he jumps back into the air after the slide finish).

The 26-year-old USMNT star chests a loose ball out of traffic and drives around, between and through three Inter defenders to give the Rossoneri.

Pulisic has scored four goals and provided two assists in five Serie A appearances this season and also scored the first goal for Milan against Liverpool in the Champions League earlier this week.

The brilliant start comes after his best professional season, a refreshingly healthy one. Pulisic scored 15 goals and 11 assists in the 2023/24 season, his first in Milan.

Dempsey delivered outstanding performances in his final two seasons at Fulham, one of which was a superb 23-goal, 7-assist performance that earned him a transfer to Tottenham.

Pulisic is showing that he can reach the numbers that Dempsey achieved at the age of 27 and 28. The AC Milan man turned 26 last week.
