Colts suffer their annual automatic loss

1 minute, 31 seconds Read

I really don't know what to say anymore. At this point the Indianapolis Colts The losing streak against the Jaguars in Jacksonville is getting ridiculous. We're reaching the point where three things in life are guaranteed: death, taxes, and the Colts losing to the Jaguars. It becomes so even that you can almost set your watch to it. It's impossible to even get your hopes up because you have to know that the Colts simply can't win. It's better to be pleasantly surprised than to be unexpectedly knocked down.

The Colts had their chances here. Yes, many key players were missing, including the quarterback, running back and most of the starting defense. However, they still had a chance. The 7-0 win after a fourth goal and a goal was a promising start. Unfortunately, it was short-lived as cracks began to form. Giving up an 85-yard touchdown and turning the ball over for a field goal just before halftime spelled doom.

After being shut out in the third, the Colts scored 24 points. Unfortunately, they conceded 17 and the game-winning field goal with less than 30 seconds left in the game. The defense had a chance to get the ball back on offense with about two minutes left, but was unable to stop the Jaguars offense. After Alec Pierce hit a 65-yarder, the offense would have liked another try.

This is probably the strangest active streak in the NFL. This is even more bizarre than the Colts' inability to win the opening game of the season. Both have been playing for the same amount of time, but the Jaguars' streak is pretty confusing considering they tend to be terrible most years. The Colts will have to wait another year to end the curse. It's a shame they didn't make it this time.
