The Colorado Buffaloes continue to win football games. Associated Press voters are finally moved.

Deion Sanders' charges were ranked in the Week 10 AP poll for the first time this season, coming in at No. 23.

The Buffs won their second straight game on Saturday, defeating Cincinnati 34-23 behind Shedeur Sanders' 323 yards and two touchdowns, while Travis Hunter added nine receptions for 153 yards and two touchdowns on offense and two touchdowns on defense.

The win made Colorado bowl eligible with four games remaining in the season and kept the Buffaloes firmly in the Big 12 title race, currently trailing only the undefeated pair of BYU and Iowa State and Kansas State (7-1, 4-1 overall). 1 in the conference).

“It's sweet. It really is,” the head coach said of his eligibility to bowl. “Because that’s what we really want, but that’s not all we want. This is one of the hurdles we jump over and overcome. That's a huge hurdle that we're happy about, we're excited about, but that's not the hurdle.” The end goal for us is the beginning, but we're thankful and grateful that the hard work is being noticed.

That's it. This is the tweet.

As for Colorado's absence from the polls to this point, Sanders said he was more than happy not to be ranked.

“Please don’t interfere with us,” he said told reporters after Saturday's win. “We don’t like that. We’d rather stay in the back in the dark and chill.”

However, voters did not comply. Colorado now faces Texas Tech in two weeks, followed by duels with Utah, Kansas and Oklahoma State. If they continue to pick up wins, the Buffs have a chance to climb in the polls and perhaps even make a splash in the Big 12 title race.

Sanders and his team definitely remain confident.

“We are on a wonderful journey,” he said on Saturday. “We know which direction we’re going in.”
