The famous television presenter and psychologist Dr. Phil McGraw said that former President Trump is not a tyrant during his speech at the rally at Madison Square Garden (MSG) in New York on Sunday evening.

“It is always wrong to bully someone. And that's exactly what's happening now. Let me tell you what the critics will say when they hear me talk about it. They'll say, well, wait a minute.” “Come on, isn't Trump a bully? And let me tell you why the answer to that question is no,” McGraw told thousands of people at MSG.

McGraw further explained, “Because to be a tyrant, there has to be an imbalance of power. And when it doesn't, it's just called a debate. And he's just better at it than everyone else. It's called debating. It's called arguing. It.” Maybe it's even a name-calling, but it's not bullying unless there's a power imbalance.

McGraw was a surprise speaker at the rally, endorsing Trump for the first time.

When McGraw interviewed Trump on his network Merit Street Media earlier this year, the TV host said he was not endorsing any candidates. Additionally, McGraw previously criticized the “weaponization” of the justice system following Trump’s guilty verdict.

Several celebrities and high-profile politicians gave speeches at the massive rally, including UFC CEO Dana White, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, “Jersey Shore” star Vinny Guadagnino and legendary wrestler Hulk Hogan.

Trump took the stage shortly after 7 p.m. on Sunday for the massive rally, where around 20,000 supporters managed to snag a spot in the packed arena and an estimated 20,000 more supporters gathered outside the venue in midtown Manhattan.

McGraw said that while he “may not be an expert on politics,” he is “an expert on bullying.”

“And bullying is when you try to harm someone, intimidate them, coerce them, cause them distress or fear, or endanger their well-being. And it can be physical, verbal, relational or cyberbullying. And it’s always wrong,” McGraw said.

Before claiming that Trump is not a tyrant, he mentioned that Trump supporters are being “cancelled, intimidated, marginalized, excluded or even fired or boycotted.”

“And you know what that means. In short, this amounts to being bullied. And now we’re talking about something I know a hell of a lot about,” McGraw said.
