Elle King has announced she is expecting her second baby, days after saying she is the “best version” of herself since her drunken tribute to Dolly Parton in January.

The 35-year-old singer shared the big news on Instagram on Monday (September 23), posting a video of herself, her partner Daniel Tooker and their three-year-old son Lucky Levi. In the clip, the family of three were at a gender reveal party where blue confetti and balloons were scattered all over the room.

Both King and Tooker cheered as they celebrated the revelation that they were having another son. Lucky also stood between his parents and smiled as King – wearing blue overalls and a white sun hat – began to cry.

“Double up,” King wrote in the caption alongside a blue heart emoji.

In the comments, many fans celebrated King and Tooker. One wrote: “The news I needed today!!! Congratulations guys!!”

“Yay, my heart is bursting with joy for our new little boy!” commented another, while a third wrote: “CONGRATULATIONS! I'm a mommy of five boys, it's amazing! Lucky is going to love his new role as a big brother!”

King's big news comes days after she spoke about her viral performance at the historic Grand Ole Opry in January. In a recent interview with PeopleThe singer of “Ex's & Oh's” spoke about the reactions she received for her drunken concert as part of the celebrations for the Queen of Country's 78th birthday.

“Try making something bad you did go fucking viral – that was pretty hard,” she said. “I never thought a single person would ever buy a ticket to my show again. But they do.”

She admitted that she has been focusing on her healing for the past year while on tour.

“(I'm) the best version of myself now,” King said. “I was so scared to ever have a drink before going on stage again because I appreciated someone buying tickets to my concert. I didn't want to disappoint them. I disappointed people. And ultimately, I disappointed myself that day, and I never wanted to feel that again.”

The singer added: “Due to some changes in my life, I am definitely able to put on a better show and that makes me more excited.”

In May, King broke her silence about the performance for the first time, telling Chelsea Handler that she was going through “something very difficult and traumatic” in her life at the time of the event.

“And that day was a really hard day of dealing with what I'd been through – and what I'm still going through – and I suffer from severe post-traumatic stress disorder,” she recalled. “I take one shot too many and I'm just not there, in my body. I'm not there. I don't remember it. I know now what I said. I said, 'I'm Elle King and I'm fucking drunk.' That's when the curtain fell on me.”

She added that although she “sobbed” in her dressing room after the incident, the next day she realized the show had gone viral and she was “mortified.” She said she wrote a handwritten apology to the Opry and Parton, who wrote her “some really kind words.”

King's pregnancy news also comes days after she spoke about her relationship with her own father, Rob Scheider. Earlier this month, she told Stupid blonde Podcast, hosted by Bunnie XO, about how the SNL A former student had sent her to a “fat camp” during her childhood and disagreed with her on LGBT+ rights.

King then revealed that she hadn't spoken to her father in “four or five years,” largely because of his right-wing political views. This led to Schneider issuing a lengthy apology to his daughter on a podcast with conservative political commentator Tucker Carlson.

In an interview with PeopleKing added: “I was just talking about my childhood and my truth. I didn't mean to hurt him.”

“A lot of people said, 'How could she say that about her family?' and 'Everything has to happen behind closed doors.' No, it doesn't have to. Sometimes you just have to say things and get them off your chest so you don't have to carry them around with you for the rest of your life,” she added. “But ultimately, I think an apology for Tucker Carlson is like a double negative, right? It means nothing.”
