Emotions are running high after the Jaguars' loss in Week 8

The Jaguars overcame the injuries impressively and courageously on Sunday. With Kirk, Thomas and Davis – the team's three best receivers – out, quarterback Trevor Lawrence drove the offense 87 yards and scored the game-winning touchdown late in the fourth quarter.

The Jaguars spent this drive in “12” formations – two tight end formations – because Parker Washington and Tim Jones were the only healthy wide receivers.

“Those guys did a great job of making some plays down the stretch and just being prepared for their opportunities,” said Lawrence, whose 14-yard touchdown pass to Engram capped the drive with 1:48 left to play equalized at 27:27.

“That’s a bright spot if there is one, just the guys playing well.”

The Jaguars currently have four wide receivers – veteran Austin Trammell, veteran Elijah Cooks, rookie Joshua Cephus and rookie Louis Rees-Zammit – on the practice squad.

“I don’t know what the future holds, but these guys have worked really hard,” Lawrence said. “You did a good job. If that happens and we have to bring a few people along, obviously it's about getting the chemistry going again because it's been a while since we've worked with these guys and done a few things. If that's the case, It’s going to be a big week.”
