Finn Wolfhard has a funny memory of being mistaken for Timothee Chalamet in New York

Finn Wolfhard could have easily won $50 if he had participated Timothée Chalamet Doppelganger competition.

As part of the viral lookalike contest that took over Washington Square Park last weekend, the Stranger Things Star shares his experience of being mistaken for the dune Actor.

“One time when I was getting into an Uber in SoHo with some friends, someone else called an Uber to the same place and it was the same car, so we thought that was our Uber,” Wolfhard, 21, said Us weekly exclusively while promoting his Great Ghost Search campaign with Ring. “As we were getting in, this other group got in the car and we said, 'Oh, I'm sorry, this is your Uber.' “I thought, 'Oh no, he'll recognize me from the show,'” the actor continued. “And he said, ‘Oh my God. You are Timothée Chalamet!' And then I just started laughing with my friends and saying, “Oh my God, that's crazy that that just happened.” It was very funny. I was relieved. I said, ‘Yes, I am!’ It was really funny.”

Both actors certainly have some things in common: They are both almost 1.80 meters tall, have long, dark, curly hair and a fair complexion. However, Chalamet, 28, is from New York City – perhaps one of the reasons Wolfhard was recognized there – during the Stranger Things The actor is younger and comes from Canada.

Wolfhard is not the only one who is mistaken for Chalamet on the street. On October 27, thousands of fans and Chalamet look-alikes gathered in the Big Apple for a lookalike contest – and Chalamet himself appeared.
