Read my thoughts on NFL Week 9 below FOX and the FOX Sports app.

Let’s dive into the questions and my predictions below.

1. Which QB throws the MOST passes?

Jordan love, Jared Goff, Dak Prescott, Joe Burrow

Elimination process here. Love battles injuries and Goff puts the Packers on the road in a divisional shot-fest. Burrow gets the Raiders, who have the seventh-best pass defense in the NFL despite a 2-6 record. Although the Bengals are nearing must-win status every week, the Cowboys are there too. I suspect it will soon be “Dak or bust” in Dallas.

Forecast: Dak Prescott

2. Rank the teams based on who scores the MOST POINTS (from highest to lowest):

robber, Bengal, Cowboys, Hawks

Once again, the Bengals are in must-win mode. If they can't beat the 2-6 Raiders at home, their playoff hopes are all but dashed considering they travel to Baltimore, the Chargers and the Cowboys in three of the next four weeks and the Steelers Have home the other week. The same goes for the Cowboys, except they're playing a good Falcons team. Luckily, Dallas is on the road where they are 3-1 this season. They are 0-3 at home.

Forecast: Bengals, Cowboys, Falcons, Raiders

3. Who will have the MOST RECEIVING YARDS?

CeeDee Lamb, Yes'Marr Chase, Malik Nabers, Terry McLaurin

Go back and read my answer to the first question. Lamb and Chase are the main targets for Prescott and Burrow, respectively. Both teams have playoff aspirations – the Giants don't, and the Commanders already appear to be well on their way – and to make it to the postseason, Dallas and Cincy will lean on their stars. Lamb had his first 100-yard receiving game of the season in Week 8. Let's bet on his swing.

Forecast: CeeDee Lamb

4. Who will make the LONGEST FIELD GOAL?

Brandon Aubrey, Joey Slye, Younghoe Koo, Justin Tucker

Could this answer just be about trust? Which of these kickers, when there's a player with 60+ yards on the board, is going to make his team trust him to go out and kick it? Well, everyone. Tucker holds the NFL record for longest field goal (66 yards), but Aubrey is second (65 yards), a feat he achieved this season. Tucker booted this 66-yarder in 2021. I'll take the fresher leg.

Forecast: Brandon Aubrey

5. Rank players by rushing yards from highest to lowest.

David Montgomery, Josh Jacobs, Bijan Robinson, Kyren Williams

Jacobs has the fourth-most rushing yards in the league, but more importantly, he is tied for first with 145 carries. He is Green Bay's workhorse. Still, it's difficult to survive in Detroit. So I'll go with Robinson. Why? Because it's not hard to compete against the Cowboys, who have the second-worst rushing defense in the league.

Forecast: Bijan Robinson

6. What will be the result of this game?

The Lions win by 4 or more points OR the Packers win, tie or lose by 3 or fewer points

Love returned to practice on Thursday, so that's a positive sign for Green Bay. Detroit is humming, having won five straight and averaging 38.4 points in those five games. Still, I like the Packers at this point – not just to cover, but to win. They have won four straight themselves, and the NFC North race will be a close one. Green Bay has already lost a game in the division and will be desperate to avoid starting 0-2.

Forecast: Packers win, tie or lose by 3 points or less

Tiebreakers: What will the end result be?

Forecast: Packers 29, Lions 27
