Frost Warnings and Freeze Warnings are issued for Northeast Ohio

CLEVELAND (WJW) – Frost warnings and freeze warnings are in effect for several local counties, all of which will go into effect at 2 a.m. Thursday. You can find the entire list here.

The cooler air flowing over warm Lake Erie will bring lake-effect showers throughout the afternoon. A few showers could include some sleet. Temperatures will still be cool, in the upper 40s to low 50s and windy.

There could be a bit more blue skies and sunshine west of I-71, while there will be more clouds and showers to the east. Here is today's Futurecast:

We expect another round of frost on Friday morning. Clear skies and calm winds are some of the conditions for frost. The nights are rather cool, but the days are particularly sunny! Increasing high pressure will bring beautiful weather to our area. Overall it will be significantly drier tomorrow until next Tuesday. Enjoy!

The weather will be much nicer as the ALCS moves to The Land later this week. The Guardians will face the Yankees in Games 3 and 4 at Progressive Field on Thursday and Friday. If necessary, Game 5 will be played on Saturday.

How about a warm-up? The autumn warmth is gradually setting in. Temperatures will rise back to near 60 degrees tomorrow and well above 60 degrees on Friday.
