FuboTV introduces beta multiview capability on select Roku devices, improving user experience

FuboTV Inc. (NYSE:FUBO) shares traded higher on Thursday after announcing the launch of the Multiview feature, now in beta on Select Roku, Inc. (NASDAQ:ROKU) Devices.

This feature is expected to roll out to additional Roku devices in the coming weeks. With this launch, Fubo is the first virtual MVPD (vMVPD) to offer user-configurable multiviewing on Roku.

Fubo delivers approximately 150,000 new content assets daily, including live and on-demand options across sports, news and entertainment.

“Multiview has been one of our most popular features and we are excited to bring it to Roku users,” said Isaac Josephson, senior vice president, product management, Fubo.

According to Fubo, with the beta version of the Multiview feature, customers can now stream up to four live channels simultaneously.

This fully customizable option is available for all Fubo channels, making it particularly suitable for watching live sports and news – unlike similar features on other streaming platforms.

“With multiview and a range of product features that enable content discovery and personalization, Fubo’s goal is to ensure fans never miss a moment of their favorite content,” Josephson added.

Fubo first introduced multiviewing on Apple TV in 2020, setting the standard ahead of other virtual MVPDs.

A critical aspect of Fubo's product personalization strategy is enabling consumers to customize their experience with the most relevant content at the moments that matter.

According to Benzinga Pro, FUBO stock has lost over 40% in the past year. Investors can invest in the stock through the following ProShares Trust ProShares Metaverse ETF (NYSE:VERS).

Price promotion: FUBO shares are trading down 2.55% at $1.405 at last check on Thursday.
