2 minutes, 44 seconds Read

The Saints (2-3) host the Bucs (3-2) in the Superdome for a big NFC South matchup in Week 6. New Orleans has lost three in a row and needs to find a way to get back in the win column, but Tampa Obviously they will have other plans to bounce back from the overtime loss to the Falcons. There should be a pretty interesting atmosphere on Sunday with rookie Spencer Rattler starting in place of the injured Derek Carr. Here is our pregame report.

RATTLER READY TO ROLL: The last time a Saints rookie started for New Orleans didn't go so well (Ian Book), but that was also a strange season and game. There's a lot of excitement surrounding Spencer Rattler's first start, especially in front of the Superdome crowd. Dennis Allen said this week that Rattler gave the team the best chance to win and that the confidence of both was high.

There are no restrictions on Rattler coming into this game, so it will be fascinating to see how he does. We'll see how New Orleans stages its script plays to get a feel for how things work. There's still a lot that needs to happen offensively for the Saints, and Rattler will get another chance on Thursday night unless something catastrophic happens.

DEFENSIVE REBOUND: The Saints defense had a forgettable game, even though they put up solid numbers in the red zone. In a game where New Orleans needs to create additional opportunities, the defense will play a big role in ensuring they don't suffer any more losses. Building pressure after Baker Mayfield will be crucial in this game and honestly, a good start will go a long way in building confidence in this game. You have to play a level higher.
