FORECAST

Happy autumn to you all!

With temperatures between 35 and 35 degrees this afternoon, it certainly didn't feel like it for most, but there will likely be some changes by the end of the week.

Let's start with plans for Sunday evening. Expect temperatures to drop below 30 degrees and fall to above 25 degrees after sunset. The forecast calls for partly cloudy skies with winds from the southeast at 5 to 10 mph.

Another hot and humid day is in store for us on Monday. Temperatures will be 24 degrees in the morning, moving into the 30s in the afternoon, and will probably feel a few degrees warmer thanks to the humidity. Most people won't be bothered, but a few isolated showers can't be ruled out, especially in the late afternoon and evening. We're expecting a 10-20% chance at best.

Another hot and humid day is expected.

Scattered rain is expected until mid-week, peaking at 30% on Wednesday.

A weak cold front looks to move through the area late Wednesday, sending a lot of drier air into southcentral Texas. This will lead to a more seasonal feel heading into next weekend, with some morning temperatures around 18 degrees and highs around 32 degrees.

We will keep you updated in the next few days!

TROPICAL UPDATE

Meanwhile, the National Hurricane Center in the tropics continues to warn of likely development in the western Caribbean and central Gulf of Mexico over the next week.

This system, which will be named Helene when it strengthens into a tropical storm, is expected far east of Texas with a likely landfall somewhere between Mississippi and Florida before next weekend.

Tropical development is likely in the central Gulf of Mexico this week, but will remain east of Texas.

More updates to follow… until then, have a great week! ~ Mia
