Ice Spice and Snoop Dogg perform Times Square concert for “Fortnite”

Ice Spice and Snoop Dogg made a surprise performance in Times Square on Friday, which was also broadcast live on Epic Games' massively multiplayer online game “Fortnite.”

The event was revealed in real time to all in attendance at the New York City landmark, with Snoop Dogg and Ice Spice making personal appearances while the stunt was available for all “Fortnite” players to view.

In addition, “Fortnite” unveiled its Chapter 2 remix with contributions from Snoop, Ice Spice and Eminem, as well as the legacy of Juice WRLD. A new posthumous album from the late rapper is expected later this year via Grade A Productions and Interscope Records.

For the first time in Fortnite, players will be able to interact with each artist through themed gameplay locations that will be introduced week by week. Players can also express themselves and represent each musician through custom artist outfits available in the Fortnite Shop.

Chapter 2 Remix ends on a special note with “Remix: The Finale” – a live event on November 30th at 2 p.m. ET. To honor Juice's legacy and love for Fortnite, all players who log in between 1 a.m. ET on November 30th and 1 a.m. ET on December 1st will receive the cel-shaded Slayer Juice WRLD outfit. Week 1 on November 2nd – Snoop Dogg enters Battle Royale, serving as the icon for Season 6 of the music-driven, rhythm-based game “Fortnite Festival.”

Snoop also commented, “Being part of Fortnite means creating, playing and sharing my music and culture with the next generation.” My son Cordell is a big Fortnite player in my life, and when the opportunity came our way, we used it as a new way to connect with my sound and style. Anyone can be Snoop in Fortnite.”

Week 2 on November 7th – Eminem reappears after his original Fortnite debut in December 2023.

“Guess who’s back, ready to fight, man! I'm serving brand new gear along with a side of spaghetti…come and get it! “It feels good to return to Fortnite for more mayhem,” Eminem added.

Week 3 on November 14th – Ice Spice comes to take you into her experience as the Princess of New York.

“Getting the chance to come to the game and reshuffle the map of Chapter 2 is unreal,” said Ice Spice. “It's exciting to be part of something so iconic and I can't wait for the players to experience this new atmosphere. Fortnite is all about creativity and connection, and I can’t wait to add my own touch!”

Week 4 on November 21st – Juice WRLD’s legacy, music and style are celebrated. Further details will be announced at a later date.
