Green Party candidate Jill Stein is Vice President Harris' frontrunner among American Muslims just days before the 2024 presidential election, according to a new poll.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations poll found Stein garnering support from 42.3% of Muslim voters to Harris' 41%.

Former President Trump, who once promised to ban Muslims from entering the United States, was a close third with 9.8% support.

CAIR estimates that there are 2.5 million Muslim voters in the United States

If the poll is accurate, this could make Vice President Harris' path to the White House much more difficult.

More than 240,000 Muslims live in the critical swing state of Michigan.

Many of her leaders, like Rep. Rashida Tlaib, have refused to support Harris' campaign.

“These results are definitely concerning for Harris given how close the race is in this state. If Harris can have a similar lead in this state as Biden did in 2020 (150,000 votes), she can still hold on, but if she performs worse with black voters, as the polls suggest, the loss of those voters could be crucial.” said pollster Carly Cooperman told the Post.

The survey found that another 5.6% of Muslims said they planned to stay at home.

Chase Oliver of the Libertarian Party and Cornel West of the Justice for All Party each received less than 1% support.

The survey of 1,449 verified Muslim voters from across the United States was conducted October 30-31.

“This latest national survey of American Muslim voters confirms that our community members are deeply engaged in the 2024 election. 95 percent say they plan to vote,” Nihad Awad, national executive director of CAIR, said in a statement.

Stein has focused much of her campaign on opposition to Israel's war in Gaza and support for Hamas, a message that has clearly resonated.

According to a Cygnal poll conducted shortly after the Oct. 7 massacre, about 57% of American Muslims said Hamas “had the right to attack Israel as part of its fight for a Palestinian state.”

Awad – a long-time anti-Semite who once said the Hamas attack made him “happy” – said the Israel-Gaza conflict “continues to play an important role in influencing Muslim voter preferences.”

CAIR was once named as an unindicted co-conspirator in illegal fundraising for Hamas terrorists.
