US election 2024: Did Jill Stein help Donald Trump defeat Kamala Harris in crucial swing states?

Polls had predicted that the presence of Green Party candidate Jill Stein in the 2024 US presidential election could significantly influence the results in several key swing states and take votes away from Democratic candidate Kamala Harris. Unfortunately, this did not come true as Jill Stein did not receive many votes. The conventional wisdom was that Jill Stein's involvement in the Middle East would impact key swing states; However, at the time of writing, their impact appears to be limited.
Michigan: Polls had shown Stein leading among Muslim voters with 40% of the vote, compared to 12% for Harris and 18% for Donald Trump. Overall, however, it hasn't made much of a difference. Donald Trump currently has 1,743,975 votes, Harris has 1,530,164 votes, Jill Stein has 18,908 votes and RFK Jr has 16,467 votes. At the time of writing, Jill Stein's votes have no bearing on Trump's victory.
Wisconsin: A Marquette Law School poll conducted between September 18 and September 26, 2024 showed Stein receiving 1% support, with Harris leading Trump by 4 percentage points (48% to 44%). Arizona: Finally, in Arizona, Trump is also ahead with 928,708 votes, while Harris has 915,838 votes. Chase Oliver of the Libertarian Party has 7,939 votes, while Jill Stein only received 7,819 votes. At the time of writing, Jill Stein's votes have no bearing on Trump's victory.
Muslims for Trump?
However, a recent YouGov poll shows Trump leading Harris by 2% despite his strong pro-Israel stance. For Arab Americans, the ongoing conflict in the Middle East has become the main issue, with Trump seen as a potential peace broker and someone who could hold the Biden administration accountable for its supposed about-face on the suffering in Gaza. Trump has emerged as a viable alternative for those who see his anti-war rhetoric as a potential path to peace in the region. This shift is particularly significant in Michigan, where Imam Belal Alzhuhairi endorsed Trump, calling him a “peace candidate” and praising his commitment to ending “endless wars.”
Recently, Trump criticized Liz Cheney, branding her a “Muslim-hating warmonger bent on invading every Muslim country” and claiming that her father, Dick Cheney, was responsible for the “killing of millions of Arabs.” Trump's conservative views also attract some Muslim voters, including Hamtramck Mayor Amer Ghalib, who opposes Democrats' progressive social policies such as LGBTQ content in the curriculum. Trump's close ties to Middle Eastern powers such as Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates further strengthen his appeal among Arab American voters, a constituency that is becoming increasingly influential in key battleground states such as Michigan.
