Kevin O'Connell updates DePaola and Reichard's injuries; Darrisaw undergoes surgery

1 minute, 10 seconds Read

Reichard took the first kickoff and then attempted a 53-yard field goal in the second quarter that narrowly missed the mark. He also missed the 31st goal later in the quarter.

However, Reichard prevailed 3-on-3 due to the extra points and continued to take care of the kick-off duties.

“I'll keep you posted as we solidify a schedule on that,” O'Connell said, “and whether we might need to bring some kickers in to take a look at them.”

Reichard is now 14 of 16 field goals and 23 of 23 extra points this season.

“It's something where you'd like to just let him continue the way he's been since he got here,” said O'Connell, who clearly appreciated the newcomer's consistency. “These things kind of come up and we're going to go through the process here to make sure we put together the best plan so we can get tired of him and do what he's been doing all season until really last night.”

“Given his performance so far, I would imagine (the injury) contributed to him missing a few shots, but he stuck it out and still got the ball into the end zone on some shots and made some extra shots.” Points,” O'Connell said. “Such a tough guy who loves being out there with his teammates. And as you know and can see, his teammates absolutely love him.”
